Motorola Put Swarovski Crystals on the Edge 70 Because Why Not

Motorola announced a special edition motorola edge 70 on December 4, and it’s covered in Swarovski crystals. The phone comes in Cloud Dancer, Pantone’s Color of the Year 2026, which is basically an airy white color. This isn’t a new phone, just a fancier version of the standard edge 70 that came out in October with some extra bling on the back.

The crystals are embedded into the back panel, so your phone literally sparkles when light hits it. If you’re into that kind of thing, it’s a nice touch. The Cloud Dancer white is pretty subdued compared to the bold colors Motorola usually picks for these Pantone collaborations. It’s more “calm and minimal” than “look at me.”

Everything else about the phone stays the same. You get a 6.7-inch 120Hz P-OLED display that peaks at 4,500 nits, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, 50MP triple cameras, and a 4,800mAh battery. Charging hits 68W wired or 15W wireless. It runs Android 16 and Motorola promises four OS updates. The whole thing is still only 5.99mm thin with vegan leather, so the crystals don’t add bulk.

Is This Actually Worth It?

Motorola does this every year with Pantone, rolling out special color editions that usually sell out fast. Past years brought bright, attention-grabbing colors like Viva Magenta. This year’s white signals a shift toward something more chill, which honestly feels fitting for 2026.

The crystals are a bold move. Most phone makers stick with glossy finishes or RGB lights. Motorola went with actual jewelry-grade Swarovski crystals, which is either genius or completely over the top depending on your taste. At 6mm thick, it’s still one of the slimmest phones around, and adding crystals without making it thicker or heavier is impressive.

Pricing and availability are still up in the air. The regular edge 70 costs around £700-800, so expect this one to cost more. Motorola says it’s launching in select markets but hasn’t specified which ones or when. If you want a phone that doubles as arm candy and don’t mind waiting for details, keep an eye out.
